Our Background
Founded in 1902, Alpha Chi Sigma (ΑΧΣ) is a national professional chemistry fraternity with over 67 collegiate chapters, 9 professional chapters, and 15 professional groups, for individuals in any Chemistry related field. At the University of California, Irvine, the Delta Lambda Chapter was founded April 2, 2014, and chartered March 20, 2018. Growing with currently 30 active members, we are a group of individuals bonded together by our love for the chemical sciences. Our members come from various majors such as Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Public Health, Earth System Sciences, etc. As a group, we strive to create a positive social forum for our members by promoting chemistry through academics, research, service, and professional events. We take pride in assisting our members to achieve their professional goals.

A Message From Our President
"I am honored to lead the Delta Lambda chapter in our mission to support each other and to advance the fields of chemical sciences.
Though it is our very motto, I'm constantly and pleasantly surprised by the dedication of my beloved brothers to our objects: To Bind, To Strive, and To Aid. I’ve seen time and time again that all of us are committed to uplifting each other in our lives and careers. Alpha Chi Sigma has supported me during my entire time at UCI; through AXS, I discovered my passion for scientific research, connected with professionals in my field all over the US, and most importantly, found a family whom I will cherish for the rest of my life. Countless late nights studying for inorganic chemistry quizzes will always hold as dear a place in my heart as every ice cream social. I've grown so much beside my brothers, and I'm confident that we will bring each other further this year and beyond. I am proud to be a member of such an endlessly generous, diverse community of passionate scientists and rising academics, and I can't wait to be part of Delta Lambda's story as we endeavor to strengthen our bonds."
